The question concerning the ascesis of consciousness, as developed in the philosophy of critical ontologism, underlines its modernity and theoretical effectiveness. In the definition of the “Being of Consciousness”, as proposed by Pantaleo Carabellese, and developed in the idea of “Ascesis of Consciousness”, introduced by Moretti-Costanzi, the fundamental necessity of the Principle arises as a basis to overcome an instrumental understanding of the mens typical of a logical, rationalist and empiricist approach.
