The present paper intends to be a small contribution to the study of Arthur Schopenhauer’s ontology of the Will and its inner Otherness. First and foremost, the concept of Noluntas is maintained to lie at the very heart of schopenhauerian philosophy, from the beginning to the end. Furthermore, the Denial of the Will-to-live is interpreted as a way to disclose groundbreaking Überwindung perspectives, moving off the beaten track, towards Martin Heidegger’s understanding of Truth.
